About StrideStash
Built by runners who log the miles before they log a verdict.
StrideStash started after our founder's third pair of "top-rated" running shoes fell apart before mile 200. Frustrated by reviews written from spec sheets instead of sweat, we built a place where every shoe, jacket, and sports bra earns its rating through actual training cycles โ tempo runs, long runs, and the laundry that follows. Today that library spans 60 products across 14 categories from 19 brands.
Real training blocks
Every product runs an eight-week cycle covering easy runs, speed work, and weather extremes โ not a treadmill lap for a photo.
Wash & wear tested
We track breakdown points, chafing, breathability, and fit shifts after repeated washes, so durability is scored, not assumed.
Independent scores
We earn affiliate commissions, but they never touch a rating. Editorial testing and scoring stay fully independent.

Our story
What began as one runner's spreadsheet of shoe complaints grew into a small team of coaches, marathoners, and studio regulars who each bring a different discipline to the table. Our lead gear tester is a certified run coach and marathoner who has put over 3,000 test miles on shoes and apparel across every season and surface.
How we review
Every product enters an eight-week testing cycle covering easy runs, speed work, and weather extremes. We track breakdown points, chafing, breathability, and fit shifts after repeated washes, then cross-check against runner feedback from our test group before publishing a single verdict. Only then does a product earn its score.
